We, Children of the Living World

We, Children of the Living world is a project of transmission and legacy that carries us to the four corners of the earth, alongside a father and his two daughters : marine biologist and photographer Sébastien Ferraz, and his daughters Maëlie and Eléa.

Through the encounters along the way, the project explores one essential question: what if these age-old traditions, woven together with modern science, could help us imagine a future that is fairer, more alive, and more worth longing for ? Through the eyes of a biologist and the wonder of two children, We, Children of the Living World weaves a tender dialogue between: - Indigenous knowledge and scientific understanding, - the generations of yesterday and those of tomorrow, - humankind, nature, and the economic models we have yet to reinvent. Far beyond mere contemplation, the project brings to light concrete solutions, drawn at once from the wisdom of First People Nations and from contemporary innovation: regenerative economies, protection of the living world, sustainable ways of life, new ways of inhabiting the planet. Told across several media, We, Children of the Living World is an ode to adventure, to transmission, and to hope — whether it is lived between a father and his daughters, between two sisters and their generation, or between First People Nations and the rest of the world.

The project unfolds across four branches. Each branch has its own cultural media, shaped by the places visited and the subjects and themes explored.
