ANELL MÉDIAS PRESENTS… Acropora's garden
Two science-outreach comic pages aimed at young audiences, created as part of a nature-based reef rehabilitation research project in Guam, led by the Marine Laboratory of the University of Guam (Marine Laboratory – University of Guam) and funded by Sea Grant University of Guam.
This research project is led by Héloïse Rouzé (PI), with co-PIs Laurie Raymundo and Sarah Lemer: "Micro-symbionts to support the rehabilitation of staghorn Acropora on Guam's reefs," and is funded by Sea Grant University of Guam, in partnership with the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation.
These two educational pages were developed under the scientific guidance of Héloïse Rouzé (research scientist at IRD-MARBEC and member of the Koural association), with child-friendly text by Marie Barraillier and illustrations by Romain Garouste.
Our shared goal is to raise children's and parents' awareness of the importance of coral in our seas and oceans, with a focus on rehabilitation — the heart of the Guam laboratory team's work.
